Healthy guidelines on World Anti-obesity Day

12 years ago VLCC took the first step to put up united fight against the scourge of obesity. With the active involvement of medical fraternity, VLCC designated November 26 as the Anti-Obesity Day. The significance of Anti-Obesity day is observed every year in South Asia and the Middle East, not only by VLCC but also by the community at large.
The VLCC Group drives a mission-led awareness campaign to promote its “Anti-Obesity Mantra”. The underlying message is that an individual can choose wellness by instilling discipline into one’s lifestyle, and enjoy its holistic benefits. Obesity is a silent killer and we need to come together to eradicate obesity and promote good health and well-being. VLCC leads the effort with a series of initiatives that include public service messages using health camps, workshops, mass counseling, mass media, special literature, and the like. The campaign focuses on creating awareness amongst the general public about developing healthy habits for an active and stress free lifestyle through dietary recommendations, activities and behavior modifications.
Think positive. Believe that you will lose weight. Think about yourself, your physical and mental well-being. Imagine a slimmer, fitter you; it always works. Most importantly, think of a “Healthy You”!
