Clean and sparkling teeth indicate your oral hygiene. Here are 10 helpful ways to whiten yellowing teeth.
Implement these suggestions along with your usual dental cleaning regimen.

1. Remove Plaque: Brush your teeth well to remove the plaque (the soft layer) from the surface of your tooth as it forms a yellowish film on your tooth and make your teeth look stained.

2. Oil Pulling: Oil pulling is an easy and natural way to restore the whiteness of your teeth. The best is the coconut oil for its antimicrobial properties. After brushing teeth usually, take a spoonful of coconut oil and rinse teeth well with it. Allow oil to get smeared on teeth for good 5 to 10 minutes. An oil soaked cotton bud can also be used to rub over teeth. Follow this routine until desired results are seen.

3. Dentist’s Touch: Best way to get desired whitening can be done by a dentist in the dental clinic after thorough evaluation of your teeth and with the application of bleaching/whitening gels.

4. Citrus Rind Rub: Rind of citrus fruits like lemon or orange can be rubbed over teeth to clean them. Rub them daily before usual brushing and then rinse well with water. but this procedure can cause sensitivity if done over a long period of time, as citric acid can have erosive effects on the teeth.

5. Use Basil Powder: Make powder of dried basil leaves and rub it over teeth daily. Basil powder also protects against bleeding of gums and pyorrhea.

6. Strawberry Rub: To remove superficial stains strawberries can be mashed and can be gently rubbed over the teeth.

7. Munch Raw Carrots: Munch raw carrots as it helps in scrapping off the plaque deposited over teeth. A small carrot stub can also be rubbed over stained teeth.
